October is breast cancer awareness month. We wear pink. We wear pink for all the people fighting, have fought, or will fight breast cancer.
Flauntly Yours is a blog all about positivity, confidence, and beauty. I want to tell you all about how Stacy is a role model for all of this.
Stacy was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly after her 30th birthday. If your heart skipped a beat reading that sentence, imagine how it was for her.
Stacy’s fight for her life began.

The above picture is Stacy during one of her many chemotherapy treatments. She told me this is when she had lost her hair and “learning” to draw eye brows. Look at how beautiful she is.
Stacy is one of the most positive and beautiful people I know, on the inside and out. I am sure this is what makes her even more beautiful than she already is.
Stacy started this fight KNOWING she was going to win. She has a lot to fight for. She has 2 beautiful children and loving husband, just for starters.

The picture above is her with her son, she had a little hair starting to come back after some chemo. Those smiles on both of them say a lot.

Above is Stacy and her daughter in their adorable matching outfits. Again those smiles. Attitude and confidence make the outfit and the look.

Stacy and her husband were given tickets to the Super Bowl last year from Sir Pur and the Carolina Panthers
At the time of her diagnosis of breast cancer, she was a full time LPN and ADN teacher. Yes, Stacy is a nurse and a very good one at that. I had the pleasure of working with her in a critical care unit. She refused to quit her job. She took just enough time off of work after each surgery that her drains were no longer attached to her. As soon as able right back to work.
Stacy had a signature “Supernurse pose.” This was always done with her students before their tests to boost their confidence.

I have absolutely no idea where Stacy gets her strength and positive outlook on everything in life. I do know if there were more people like her in this world, it would be a better and prettier place.
One thing that may have helped her be so positive is martial arts. Stacy is also a 2nd degree black belt in karate. Her instructor and her wore pink belts last year in October for breast cancer awareness month.
I told you she is a fighter.

As I told you in the begging of this post, Stacy started this fight knowing she was going to win it. She rang the bell after her last chemotherapy appointment like the rock star she is.

The above picture was in 2022. Stacy has had reconstructive surgery, and her hair is growing back.
I wish I could end this post right here, but this is not the end of Stacy’s story.
As of today, Stacy has stage IV breast cancer.

Pic above was from the other week.
You would have NO idea she has been diagnosed stage IV cancer if you just met her out somewhere. She is thriving. She is still teaching nursing. She is still a wonderful mother, wife, 2nd degree black belt, and person. She lives each day to its fullest and looks absolutely beautiful doing it.
I hope her story has given all of you confidence in yourself and strength when you need it.
I am honored to call Stacy a friend.
Pic below from when we ran into each other at the beach last year.

Confidence and a good mind set go a very long way. Flaunt what you have and you will look amazing. Even if you are going through chemotherapy and have no hair.
Flauntly Yours,
A
