Recently, I was a bridesmaid in a wedding. I did another bridesmaids makeup and my own. I also applied lashes to the bride and matron of honor. This is my personal review of some of the products I used for the wedding and rehearsal makeup.
The Good
First, The primer I used was incredible. I used Smashbox photo finish smooth and blur primer. It felt great on our faces, applied easily, and helped with the photo finish you want for an event like this. It went on smoothly. It also was great for both our different skin types. I applied it all over our faces and necks. After application I waited about a minute or two to make sure it was completely rubbed in and dry before starting on any of the makeup. https://www.smashbox.com/product/6038/18502/face/photo-finish-primer/photo-finish-foundation-primer

Secondly, let’s talk about the glue I used to apply the lashes for the bride and matron of honor. I am not sure of the name band as I did not bring it. It was the first time I had seen lash glue in a pen. It looked a lot like a felt tip eye liner but in white. I was skeptical at first. Honestly I was not sure how to use it. The following is how I used the glue pen.
After holding the lash strips up to the eye to make sure they did not need to be cut, or trimmed. I held the lashes with a lash applicator tweezers. Then I shook the pen, removed the cap and applied the glue to the strip of the lashes. I held the strip of lashes with the tweezers for a few seconds to let the glue get tacky. I then took the lash applicator and a pair of tweezers and very carefully applied the strip of lashes to the appropriate eye. The longer lashes are on the out side of the eye. I got the strips as close to their natural lash line as possible without glueing them to their natural lashes. I was impressed by the glue, I was worried it would not stay, the lashes lasted on both of them all afternoon during the wedding, pictures, and into the night eating and dancing. I highly recommend a lash glue pen for your next application of strip lashes.

Third on the good list is the eye liner I used on both of us. I had normally used KVD tattoo liner. It was easy to use and looked good. The last 2 KVD liners I purchased the tips were either dried out or frayed.
I recently read a review on Stila eyeliner and thought I would give it a try. I was hooked. It is cheaper than KVD tattoo liner and goes on so smoothly. The way the tip its made it is easily applied form any angle and the lines look polished.

Lastly on the good list is the NARS foundation I used for myself. I used NARS light reflecting advanced skincare foundation. I needed something that would look good in photos and also not crack when moving my face. This lived up to my hopes. It went on very well, it is buildable as needed for more coverage. I have combination skin and this was a great choice for my skin type.

The Bad
Now the bad. The other bridesmaid I did makeup on, does not normally wear foundation. She doesn’t need it. For pictures I felt it would be best for her to wear foundation so she did not look washed out.
We went to Ulta and played around. We decided on Estée Lauder futurist hydra rescue for her. The color matched her perfectly. However, it almost accentuated her fine lines, especially crows feet around her eyes. We were both disappointed. In the pictures I hope her fine lines will not show too much. Also, hoping the photographer can edit them out if they do show. Her crows feet are not very noticeable. However makeup should lessen the look of them not accentuate them.
I would recommend maybe a BB or CC cream and build it up for the coverage needed if you do not normally wear foundation. I sort of thought this product would be like one of those but it was not.

The color match was perfect, her picture at rehearsal dinner is below.

Hopefully, this review helps you with some makeup decisions.
