When I am at work or at the gym, I want my hair to be out of my face.
I do not always want to put my hair in a simple ponytail or bun.
I also want my little baby hairs in the front by my face to be secured as well. I don’t like looking all crazy with little sprigs of hair sticking out everywhere.
This is an easy up-do that I get a lot of compliments on every time I wear it.
This up-do keeps my hair pulled back and out of my face.
I find this style works best with dirty hair, not freshly washed hair.
Working in healthcare, I must keep my hair out of my face. I have the same need at the gym.
Functionality and style.
Note
Please excuse the way I look in the these pictures. I was getting ready to head to the gym. Since I was doing this hairstyle, I wanted to show how I do it.
What You Need
Brush, and two hair ties.

Step One
I brush out all of my hair.
I usually brush it back while brushing my hair out.
It is going to be braided back on my head.

Step Two
I take a very small chunk of hair in the front and center of my hairline.
This will be the start of a dutch braid.
I divide this small chunk of hair into 3 sections to start the braid.

Step Three
With each of the 3 sections, I add a little more hair from each side.
I incorporate these into the section of hair I am braiding back.

Step Four
I continue to add hair in the dutch braid until I get to the crown of my head.
I keep the braid as tight as possible. This helps give it a little more finished appearance.

Step Five
I reach the crown of my head. Then, I pull all of my hair up in a ponytail.
I secure it with the first hair tie.

Step Six
I then pull the ponytail tight to my head.
Just tight enough that it feels comfortable and secure.

Step Seven
I take the ponytail and I start twisting my ponytail all the way until the end of the ponytail.
My entire ponytail is now a twist.

Step Eight
I then take the twisted ponytail and wrap it around the into a bun.
I wrap the twist around the base of the ponytail where I secured it with the first hair tie.

Step Nine
Now I take the other hair tie and secure the bun with it.
I put the hair tie around the base of the bun. Exactly like I did the ponytail.
If there are any chunks or sprigs sticking out, I will bobby pin them down.

Finished
Now I am finished and ready for the gym or work.

Conclusion
My hair is up out of my face.
This is a very quick hairstyle for when I am crunched on time.
It’s also perfect for when I just don’t feel like messing with my hair.
It is out of my face, my baby hairs are all tucked away, and I am off to the gym.
Have you tried this hairstyle? What is a hairstyle you use when going to the gym?
