Need a last minute Halloween costume idea?
How about the King of Halloween, Jack Skellington.
I came up with this one the night before and did not have to go out and buy anything.
I wanted something on the comfortable side.
I have a Nightmare Before Christmas pajama onesie. Bought it a Walmart. Link to the one I have below.
I paired this onesie with a black and white Santa hat I had from something else a couple of years ago.
The most important part of this costume is the makeup. I did not want to walk around looking like I was just wearing pajamas.
For the makeup I pulled up a picture of Jack Skellington’s face on my phone.
While looking at it, I did the following for my makeup.
Foundation
I chose to use my normal everyday foundation. I did not have any Halloween makeup to make my face glow or chalky like Jack’s. Due to this I decided to focus more on the eyes and mouth and just wear a light, normal foundation.
Of course I topped it off with a translucent powder to keep everything in place a little better.
Eyes
For my eyes, I used a ColourPop Nightmare Before Christmas eye pallet that I already had.

Jack has very dark eyes, however, I did not want to just put black circles around my eyes.
I used the colors of the eye pallet to create a super dark smoky eye.

I started with the color Meant to Be from the pallet. I put this color all over my eye lids.
I then used the color Frog’s Breath. I did this for the outer 2/3 of my eye lids.
Next, I used the color In My Bones. I put this on the outer third of my eye lids.
I then took a round eye makeup brush and very lightly used Halloween Town in the outer corners of my eyes. While applying this I gently blended the rest of the shades with this color in the crease of my eye lids..
On the inside corners of my eyes, near my nose, I applied a little of the color Pumpkin Patch to make my eyes pop.
After I made sure my eye shadow was blended but not too much, I added Stila Black eye liner to my top eye lids, doing a thicker than normal line.
When my eyeliner was complete, I took a liner brush and used the color Halloween Town to complete my lower lash line.
Lips
While I was looking at the picture of Jack Skellington on my phone, I saw how his mouth is a black line when closed and a black hole when open.
He also has black vertical lines from one side of his mouth to the other.
I took my Stila black eye liner liquid pen and from the corners of each side of my mouth drew a horizontal line out onto my cheeks.
After I was satisfied that the lines were somewhat symmetrical I started with the vertical lines.
I started at the outside of the lines and worked my way inward on both sides until I get to the corners of my mouth.
For my lips, I did vertical lines from about a half inch above my lips to the same amount below my lips.
My lines are not perfect as I was in a bit of a hurry, but sometimes imperfection is better.
I used the eyeliner also as my lip liner.
When I was satisfied with the lines I used Wet N Wild Liquid Catsuit lip gloss for my lips.

Hair
For my hair, since I was wearing the Santa hat I simply did boxer braids. It was simple, comfortable, and easy to wear with the hat.
Shoes
I threw on my black and white Converse as it matched everything else I was wearing. Again, something I already had in my closet.
Final Product

Conclusion
This is how I made a last minute Halloween costume without spending any money or having to go out and look for something.
